Here at The River Valley Area Agency on Aging, the Gateway department is a one-stop shop for senior services allowing one call to access information and services available.  The Community Care Services Program (CCSP) helps people who are elderly and or functionally impaired to continue to live in their homes and communities by offering an alternative to nursing home placement.  The Home & Community Based Services (HCBS) offers a variety of services to all individuals sixty (60) years and older, at little or no cost.  Both CCSP & HCBS operate off of a waiting list.  Length of time spent on the waiting list varies with individual levels of need and funding available. 

We have a highly trained and knowledgeable staff specialized in resources and services for the elderly in West Central Georgia. They provide an avenue to access needed services and linkage with community resources for senior citizens, the disabled and/or their caregivers to empower them with knowledge of community resources to promote a high quality of life and enable them to remain independent and healthy in their homes and community.

We help you find a wide range of services for seniors and their families.

• In-Home services include:

• Meals-on-Wheels

• Homemaker assistance with light housekeeping, shopping, etc.

• Home repair or modification to increase safety and accessibility

• Grocery and Pharmacy deliveries

• Personal support assistance with bathing, grooming, etc

• Nutritional counseling and education

• Emergency response electronic device installation and monitoring

• Home health care to include nursing, physical, speech, and/or
• occupational therapies

• Respite care for the disabled senior providing a break for caregivers
