Vision and
Mission Statement
The vision of the Lower
Chattahoochee Area Agency on Aging is to be the leader and
forerunner in assisting older adults experience the highest quality
of life possible. The Lower Chattahoochee AAA's mission is to
provide the leadership that cultivates an accessible, efficient,
comprehensive, coordinated service delivery system for our area's
older adults and their families. The single point of entry, "Gateway
to Community Resources": connects seniors and care givers
with an array of services and assistance. Our focus
includes home and community based services in promoting maximum
independence and dignity to people in the prevention of premature
nursing home placement. In this direction, we are actively
engaged in programs and services to support family caregivers.
These programs such as "respite" give caregivers of those with frail
or chronic health problems and/or diagnoses of dementia, the much
needed support and rest.
The Lower Chattahoochee Area Agency
on Aging (AAA) plans and supervises programs and services dedicated
to improving the quality of life for older adults. The AAA is a
function of the Lower Chattahoochee
Regional Development Center in Columbus, Georgia
The AAA provides
seniors opportunities to maintain their activity, independence, and
dignity through a comprehensive, coordinated system of services and
support. The AAA assesses need, advocates for seniors, engages
community support, coordinates program funding, and monitors and
evaluates the work of service providers to ensure that seniors
receive high quality assistance.

Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, and
